Courses booking now for beginners and all levels of skill carving freshly quarried stone in our open-air carving workshop in the heart of Tout Quarry Sculpture Park & Nature Reserve and at the Drill Hall.
Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust is an arts, environmental and educational Charity that has regenerated of a former industrial landscape that gives in-depth access to art, culture, nature working with principles of environmental sustainability, providing inclusivity and accessibility for all, in an area of multiple deprivation and high needs.

Green Skills in Stone Related Crafts
A skills training programme for 20 people for one month duration courses for economically in active people from the local community and wider Dorset area. Funded by Central Government via Dorset Council - UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The World Heritage Stone
This first stage of shaping this rock will celebrate the vision of Emeritus Professor Denys Brunsden, Geomorphologist, who led the successful bid to UNESCO for World Heritage status for East Devon and Dorset Jurrassic Coast.

The Ocean Stone
A collaboration between Hannah Sofaer and Greenpeace to safeguard put ocean, for the United Nations first Global Oceans Treaty signed by 28 states

The Wren Stone for Wren 300
Concept, design and letter cutting by Paul Crabtree working with artists and stone masons Kirby Stansbridge and Matthew Jordan. Funded by The Worshipful Company of Masons & The Island and Royal Manor of Portland Court Leet.

Saving The Arch
The Grade II listed arch has been gifted by The City of London Corporation and carefully deconstructed by Keltbray Construction and PAYE Stonework & Restoration Ltd, during the demolition of 81 Fleet Street, London.

As part of Portland & Weymouth Towns of Culture 2025, Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust is hosting the exhibition - ‘One Island - Many Visions’ - A collaborative research project between the Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust and 27 artists from The Royal Society of Sculptors, resulting in an exhibition, symposium, artists workshops and events.
