During August and October2025, Clair is in residence at Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust (PSQT) funded by ‘AN - The Artist’s Information Company’. During her residency Clair will be consolidating research into the mobility of natural, mineral and human resources from prehistory into the present. Clair is working towards a joint project (two-person exhibition) with Cornish painter/printmaker Emmet Casley to differently address contemporary legacies of extractive economies in South West England using Cornish tin and Portland stone as material exemplars. Clair’s residency is enabling the physical development and technical realisation of parts of this project through stone-carving using waste materials from the quarrying industry alongside other sculptural processes with the support of PSQT.
